Goonhavern School Class – “The Flora Dance” in St Agnes – Circa 1959-60
Mr William (Bill) Curnow Headmaster of Goonhavern School leads out his pupils as he always did performing the Helston Flora Dance. This scene was repeated around the locality and the main roads though these villages were closed to traffic for the duration of the performance.

I remember dancing in one of the last Flora Dances with Goonhavern School in Goonhavern in the mid 1980s.
A lot of children round here did, I remember the main road being closed between New Inn and past Rose Meadows when they went by my place with the band.
