As a boy, I used to visit Dick Cocking and his wife, Mary Louise – who we knew as Auntie Wheezy – at their home, Top Cottage, Hendra Croft, Rejerrah.
After Dick died, Wheezy’s health deteriorated and she came to live with us in Newquay for a year or so before going to Barncoose Hospital.
Fred Bennetts was my father – son of Christopher and Elizabeth (nee Batten) who married Eileen Buddell. What a great thrill to see my Father’s photo on the website.
