There is a small group of amazing people continually trying to improve the facilities at the Goonhavern village park. The group has had great success securing funding and things have improved vastly thanks to their continued efforts.
The park has been completely transformed. There is an awesome play area with a zip wire and a bunch of fun climbing and swinging things. Something for most age groups.
The park also has a lovely pump track, which is great for skateboard, scooter and BMX riders of all ages and skill levels. The surface is good in all weathers, but it gets most use in dry weather.
You can find out more about the Goonhavern park group on their Facebook page by clicking here.
The park is opposite Bridge Stores right in the middle of Goonhavern
In October ’89, as a theme park consultant I took part in a workshop called Cornish Fayre. This was to create concepts for a World in Miniature at Goonhaven St Agnes. Has anyone local every heard of it? Was it ever a real project? I’d be interested to know.
