Eric Payne, one-time landlord of The Bolingey Inn, circa late 1950’s/to early 1960’s. Walking to Inn having been playing bowls. His garage was in Bounders Lane, Bolingey on land by name of The Orchard, eventually both he and Rose Payne had a bungalow built on some of the land where they lived having retired from The Bolingey Inn
