The sign on the door means ‘new bards (male) and new bards (female). It is a will be a sign on the day of a Gorsedh inviting new bards to go to a particular room to don their robes prior to being barded. The school would have been used as ‘robing rooms’. Men to one room, Women to another and new bards to a third. The Gorsedh would have taken place at Perran Round. The girls dressed in green with flowers are, unsurprisingly known as flower girls. They perform a dance during the ceremony.
