Absolutely fascinating. I spent most of my school holidays when I was young with Olga and Martha when they lived in Charlestown, as did my granny Jane, their older sister. My granny kept the village store and post office in Charlestown. Martha was the only “certificates” teacher and went on to teach at St Mewan primary School. She qualified at the Teacher Training College in Truro. I think it was Weslyan, though I am not sure
Your granny Jane Tresidder nee Ford was Samuel’s wife, and my granny’s brother, small world. Granny & Great Granny Ford had the Post Office at Goonhavern from 1894.
