Goonhavern Carnival 1935
Miss Winifred Hopper Carnival Queen 1935, later to become wife of Mr Raymond Ellery (Carpenter) in Goonhavern & Perranwell. Sadly Mrs Ellery disappeared on 19th Nov 1957 (a very misty evening) and was never heard of or found despite searches carried out by local residents and authorities around the area. Her father William Hopper committed suicide shortly afterwards. Her attendants were Miss Dorothy Glanville (top left), Miss Pat Bown (bottom left), Miss June Piper (bottom right) and Miss Joy Worthington (top right).
