Cornerways on Goonhavern Crossroads before being demolished – Circa 1971/72
Cornerways was demolished along with Goonhavern Stores around 1972 for the road widening scheme. Today Cornerways Bungalow is set back well from the road opposite the New Inn Car Park.
Does anybody know why they wanted to demolish such a lovely building that was obviously so full of character?
Same reason as for my Granny’s Shop & Post Office, road widening.
