My dad, David Buddell, is enjoying your site very much. At 83 he’s not terribly good with the internet but loves looking at sites about Cornwall – his home. He is in the pic above but is the boy 3rd from right in the middle row … not 4th. Bringing back a lot of happy memories for him. He emigrated with my mother and older brother to NZ back in the 50’s. Cornwall will always be home for them & now us. Thank you 🙂

Glad your dad is enjoying the photos, that’s what it’s all about. I think you mentioned before you were heading to Cornwall last Autumn but had to cancel. Hopefully will see you this year if you make it.
I’m not entirely sure having not really seen a photo of my dad Roger Glanville while he was at school but the little chap on the right hand end of the front row certainly looks like him. He would have been there between 1940 and 1946.
No can’t see it in the face, some people change too much over the years.
My dad and his brother where evacuated to Cornwall from Tottenham, London. They went to Goonhavern school roughly 1940-1942. Please has anyone got any old photos of the school or of the evacuees that went there. Awaiting your reply. Regards Linda McFadden
