It was wonderful to see photos of my Mother, Eileen Buddell at Goonhavern School. Mum had one brother: Melville, and two younger sisters, Margaret and Joan. My Grandparents were Stanley Buddell and Rose Buddell (nee Fursman) who lived a Temple House.
Gladys Hooper was another of my cousins who I was brought up to call Auntie Gladys due to her being that much older than me. Sadly she is no longer with us having died in 2011 aged 83 and of course Dorothy Glanville was my dad’s sister.
It’s quite moving to see a picture of my dear mum (Joan Rowe) in her school days.
Crickey John, you must have a photographic memory, that’s a few years ago. Didn’t know she was a Rowe, my Stephens family are tied up with the Rowe family Newquay/St Col Mnr.
