Wheal Vlow Mine – 1927. Taken a little later than the previous photograph and showing a number of the buildings completed.

Left of centre is a steel-framed building being clad, which is the electricity power station containing Paxman vertical high speed diesel engines which drove the dynamos. To the right of this is a temporary wooden headgear on Hallett’s shaft then being refurbished.
