Stan collecting fresh spring water from the stand pipe that was situated down the bottom of Carnebo Hill near the bridge/stream entering Goonhavern.
This was later removed when it was felt it unhealthy to drink “fresh water” but I never heard of anyone being ill from drinking it, I did when I was a lad.
